I love Joe Tess Place! Truly an Omaha landmark. It is an old school place. I've personally been a patron of Joe Tess since the 90's. Very cozy and working class kind of bar and restaurant. Serving predominantly American beer but I think they do offer a few other choices.I get the Famous fish (Carp) virtually everytime I go there. I get the double fish which makes for a nice sized meal which usually consists of a rib piece and more times than not, a tail piece. My sides are usually the coleslaw and beans. They have other options such as jacket fries.

Great place to get some fried carp or catfish with friends and family. They do have fried chicken, salmon and grilled chicken also. Pretty pricey for food. Fried carp is good to order. I got the grilled chicken because the fish has too many bones for me to eat and pick out as I go. Grilled chicken was a bit on the dry side but ok. Came with 2 sides ( have maybe 6 sides to pick from). I did like the Cole slaw and we had fried shrimp appetizer which was good.

It was fantastic as always. My family has been going there since I was a child. Today we took my nephews and niece. The food was great as always as was the service. A landmark
